Anthony Jefferson's vocals are overflowing with sensuality and warmth as the limberness in his vocal control kneads like a deep tissue massage for the aural senses.  His latest release All I Am is comprised of jazz standards, pop favorites, and a handful of original tunes.  Produced by Jefferson and arranged by Corey Allen, the recording resonates a smooth vocalese reminiscent of Johnny Mathis paired with the caressing inflections liken to Luther Vandross.  His blend of soul, rhythm and blues, and bossa nova make for a very enjoyable ride.

It is smooth sailing through his version of "Summertime," tailored with sensual curves and arcs in his vocals that personalize the tune.  The orchestral strings strewn across "Impossible" broaden Jefferson's repertoire, steering him into chamber music terrain that brings out the dreamy quality in his vocal timbres.  The level of training he displays in his vocal control is impressive, easily placing him in the elk of jazz music's penetrating crooners like Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdnck, and Billie Holiday.

His rendition of "Rainy Night in Georgia" widens his vocal breadth, adding a tinge of country into the smooth jazz arrangement that molds beautifully with the gorgeous tones of his vocals.  The silky threads of his vocals ruminating along "Me and Mrs. Jones" radiate a romantic lure that captures the amorous mood of the lyrics.  The purity in his vocals is inviting, reminding listeners of a sweet sounding lullaby meant to cuddle one with safe arms.  His duet with Gustavo A. Hostos on "You've Got A Friend" is powerful as these two deep-throated vocalists imprint the track with a passionate flare that makes the melody their own.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Jefferson's life experiences has brought him across the country and across the Atlantic Ocean to the Dominican Republic.  His renderings display the gorgeous tones inherent in his vocals.  It's the type of voice anyone would find comforting going to bed with, whisked into a blissful slumber.
