Part soulful torch singer and part spiritual healer, vocalist Kathleen Grace fills her recording Tie Me To You with lamenting melodies that warm the listener's soul. Supported by pianist Larry Goldings, the release features original songs by Grace and Goldings in addition to cover tunes by Francois Hardy, Son House, the Beatles, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart.

Opening the recording with the title track, Goldings musings on the glockenspiel is partnered with the weeping voicing of Gabe Witcher's violin, setting the mood for Grace's poetic verses.  The languid stride of the rhythmic pattern cradles the listener in a sweet lullaby. Lifting the tempo up a few notches, "Where Or When" propagates optimistic sensations propelled by the upswing in Grace's vocal nuances while the country folk twang in Grace's guitar strings are augmented by the lacy flutter of Witcher's violin floating across "Everywhere," kindling a spiritual resonance.

Speaking about spiritual reverence, "John The Revelator" is drenched in a Delta blues style sonorous, emanating a gospel-imbued flare.  The torch-like textures in Grace's vocals bode beautifully with the French lyrics in the ruminating "Berceuse," creating a delicate ballet between her vocal melody and the gentle ballad.  The arching lifts in Grace's vocals at poignant moments along "The Thrill Is Gone" emote  hope, tactfully infused into the lamenting phrases.  She closes with the piano ballad "I'll Follow the Sun," radiating courage while facing the future.

Tie Me To You is the debut release from Grace and Goldings, melding ethereal textures and lamenting torch song style arrangements.  She transforms weeping ballads into pillars of strength and courage, displaying the qualities of a soulful singer and spiritual healer.
