An agreeable mixture of folkloric jazz, ambient acoustics, and improvised phrasing, Σymposium For Peace from guitarist, composer and bandleader George Nazos is an enterprising venture.  Accompanied by Harvie S on bass, Joe Abba on drums and guest vocalist Tamuz Nissim, Nazos flexes his instinct for theatrical flourishes, threading chords that sow together into searing stories.

Nazos's strumming tenderly treads across "I See You" brandishing an ambient texture that's bolstered by the light strokes of Abba's drums and soft throbbing of Harvie S's bass.   Nazos changes course on "Santie" displaying a nimble flutter that wields a folkoric twinkle, which transitions into the gentle glittering effects strewn across "Lonely Moon."  His guitar strings weave searing messages as though groping in the darkness, grasping for something in the distance and wandering along improvised passageways.

The balmy motifs piping "Back To Life" permeate a twilight glint that switches to a boppish sprint along "Pent Up House."  The shimmering impressions inscribed by Nazos's guitar strings cover "Almost There" in warm shades, which turn to a brisk shower along "The Chase" as Nissim's elastic scatting forges a piercing drizzle across the track.  The recording closes with the ambient soundscapes of "Closer To Home" cauterized in lulling tones and supported by a soft rhythmic beat.

The compilation of original tracks is an agreeable mixture of folkloric jazz, ambient acoustics, and improvised phrasing.  Σymposium For Peace demonstrates Nazos' proclivity to build new musical collectives, inspired by the influences and techniques of artists who came before him.  Having studied first in Switzerland at the Swiss Jazz School of Bern and then attending Codarts Conservatory of Rotterdam in the Netherlands where he received a BA in jazz performance in guitar 2009.  Nazos has made creating and performing music an integral part of his life, and his means of communicating searing messages to audiences.
