Unbridled: The Flying Horse Big Band Meets George Garzone is the Flying Horse Big Band’s 9th album and features tenor saxophonist George Garzone.  The union sows a vibrant vista of swing and big band jazz with a flair for improvisation that keeps the tracks lively and squiggling like molten lava.  The sleek, swiveling phrasing of Garzone's sax streaking across "Pharaoh's Daughter" resonates an exotic lilt that elevates the track, bringing in a surge of sensual sparks, switching to a festive romp through "Chasin Tail," clad in swirling horns, propagating a whirlpool of swishing motions.  Straddling an equilibrium between traveling fast and frenzied and then turning tranquil and introspective through "Reflections,"  the alliance of musicians demonstrates their versatility and adaptability to portray an array of listening experiences for audiences.  Put together by Jeff Rupert, Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Central Florida, the offering popularizes the big band environment.
